I almost wish I'd never purchased this soap; it smells so nice that I can't imagine showering without it. You'll be hooked if you try it.
Another scent that I love.
Great fragrance, lathers well, leaves one feeling so clean and refreshed!
This soap will transport you to a forest!
Best cedar soap on the market
Smells amazing
This soap is very fragrant and works really well. It is a shame that there is palm oil in it.
I absolutely love Island Thyme’s products. This soap is so creamy and who needs plug in air fresheners when you have this heavenly scent? The soap lasts much longer than I anticipated
The packaging is beautiful, there's no plastic outer wrap, the essential-oil based woodsy fragrance is delightful; but alas, there's palm oil in the ingredients list. According to Greenpeace, even "RSPO sustainable palm" is not sustainable. This product would get 5 stars if the palm oil wasn't included.
One of the reasons I love living in the northwest and next to a forest is the wonderful smells. Nothing like a walk through the forest to calm me and bring a smile to my face and heart. Now I get that wonderful scent in the shower as well! Nice!
The soap works great and the smell is awesome! Buy some for sure.
I’ve been buying this soap for several years and will continue to do so. It smells like the forest.
In my urban life this scent in my shower takes me back to a walk on Orcas
A wonderful smelling bar soap that does not dissolve into mush. We found Island Thyme years ago on a visit to the San Juan Islands and have been ordering their soaps ever since.
We're so happy to hear that you have been using our soaps for years! Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review :)
I LOVE this soap. Makes me feel surrounded by my favorite trees - even bathed in them!
Thank you for your kind review Madeleine! We're delighted to hear that you're enjoying our Spruce and Cedar Soap!
Spruce and Cedar soap is my husband's favorite soap.
I love the spruce and cedar soap. It reminds me of hiking in the woods. I always buy enough to keep some for myself, and give some to my hiking buddy.....we can relive the backpacking in the shower !
As someone with a lot of seasonal allergies, it's hard for me to enjoy frangrances without fear of orifices swelling shut and generally looking like I've just had a good cry. Red puffy eyes, drippy sniffly nose, occasional hairball-esque cough.
Enter Island Thyme. Their spruce and cedar soap (and the lotion sampler sent with it...also amazing...thank you) is a fragrance I can enjoy without fear. It has a clean piney (not floral...yay!) Pacific Northwest scent that lingers after washing and it doesn't leave my hands feeling dried out no matter how many times a day I use it (which is a lot because I work in a hospital and a garden).
Oh, and because of it's woodsy scent, the manfolk in the house like it too! Great way to trick the little men of the house into basic levels of personal hygiene. They feel like they're camping. Everyone wins.
I plan to give some to friends who do not live here and have this lovely fragrance surrounding them, as some of us lucky folks do. It seems good for gardeners and also men..... not too girly sweet. I love it. Thanks, MC
These bars combine both the attractive outdoors scent of the northern woods with a terrific moisturizing soap. Can't think of a better soap for the shower!
I love your products The soaps are particularly wonderful with delightful fragrances that are natural and beautiful. The fragrance lasts with the bar and continues to be fresh. I also enjoy your naturally derived skin care products. Thank you also for your efficient, speedy delivery.
Our Process
Nature's best
We start with the highest quality flowers, herbs, and medicinals. Some, like calendula, lavender, and cucumber, come from the Island Thyme farm. Others, like St. John's Wort, are wildcrafted in Montana's Bitterroot Mountains. Others are sourced from around the world.
Time-tested recipes
All of our recipes have been developed in-house over the past 25+ years. Starting from skin-nourishing base ingredients like sweet almond oil and beeswax, we fine-tune the scent and texture.
Small batches
No industrial manufacturing here! In our commercial kitchen in the village of Eastsound on Orcas Island, our crew meticulously crafts each product in small batches for freshness and quality control.
Delivered to you
After labeling, products are ready for you, our amazingly loyal customers. Our shipping team boxes up online orders, stocks our two storefronts in Eastsound and Friday Harbor, and prepares shipments to our wholesale outlets, which include natural food stores and gift shops throughout the Pacific Northwest
