Description

A gentle natural aches and pains soother.  We especially love it as massage oil (as do many, many of the massage therapists we know). We also use it on bumps, bruises, sore muscles, and aching joints.

Each year we start with wildcrafted Arnica Montana and St. John's Wort flowers (both reputed for their anti-inflammatory properties) hand-picked in the Bitterroot Mountains and sent to us overnight.  After being briefly dried, they are steeped for a minimum of two months in pure sweet almond oil to extract their oils, then strained. Once strained we add lavender essential oil for its calming and soothing effects and a touch of vitamin e.  (It is the St. John's Wort flowers that impart the beautiful red color to the finished oil.)

For the past twenty years, this has been one of Island Thyme's most popular products!

Directions: Apply directly to any aches and pains, or use as a massage oil. Not intended for chafed skin or open wounds.

Ingredients: Arnica Montana, alkanet and St. John's Wort infused sweet almond oil, lavender essential oil, vitamin e.

soothing oil helps with my pain.

the soft fluid warming oil, works nicely for all your sore muscles and pains . recently I have had shoulder pain from sleeping position ,very unconfortable , I bought this oil to help relieve my discomfort I am happy with the smell of the oil, and the results after applying .

Hand made in small batches on Orcas Island, using proprietary recipes we have developed ourselves.

Nature's best

We start with the highest quality flowers, herbs, and medicinals. Some, like calendula, lavender, and cucumber, come from the Island Thyme farm. Others, like St. John's Wort, are wildcrafted in Montana's Bitterroot Mountains. Others are sourced from around the world.

Time-tested recipes

All of our recipes have been developed in-house over the past 25+ years. Starting from skin-nourishing base ingredients like sweet almond oil and beeswax, we fine-tune the scent and texture.

Small batches

No industrial manufacturing here! In our commercial kitchen in the village of Eastsound on Orcas Island, our crew meticulously crafts each product in small batches for freshness and quality control.

Delivered to you

After labeling, products are ready for you, our amazingly loyal customers. Our shipping team boxes up online orders, stocks our two storefronts in Eastsound and Friday Harbor, and prepares shipments to our wholesale outlets, which include natural food stores and gift shops throughout the Pacific Northwest
